Annotation columns

Annotation columns allow you to add columns to the flexYgrid into which you may enter your own comments.
This can be helpful to add meaning to the values of your IBM Domino Server or databases within the grid.

Grid Tools & Options: Annotation Column

The Annotation Column commands use the following toolbar and right-click options:



Ctrl + B

Works if no Annotation Columns on the flexYgrid.

Add Annotation Column: Inserts a column to the right of your currently selected row in the grid.

The column title is mandatory. If you enter the same name several times for multiple annotation columns, a number will be added to each column title to chronologically differentiate them.

It is possible to choose between 4 column types: Text, Number, Checkbox and Dropdown List.

This column will be listed in the Grid Manager under the non-categorized column category.




Ctrl + B

Works if some Annotation Columns on the flexYgrid.

Set values in Annotation Column: Allows you to add a value and a background color to your selected rows.

This function is only available once an annotation column has been created.

Note: The values you enter in Annotation columns are volatile. They won't be kept in the grid after restarting or reloading the tool, even if you save your grid configuration.




Ctrl + Shift + B

Clear values from Annotation Column: This function is only available once an annotation column has been created.

It allows you to remove the selected values previously entered with the Set values in Annotation Column function.


Remove Annotation Column: This function is only available once an annotation column has been created.

It allows you to remove the currently selected column previously created with the Add Annotation Column function.
