Connect your AI client to sapio365 or to an EZ Suite product in five steps, from the product's AI Settings panel. The product writes the client's configuration for you.
Before you start
-
The product is open on your computer: sapio365 with a session loaded for any work on a tenant, or the EZ Suite product with the database or server you want to work on.
-
Your product license, Full or Trial, includes the AI (MCP) feature. Without it, the server does not start: Start server shows This feature is only available with an AI (MCP) license.
-
A supported AI client is installed on the same computer, under the same Windows account as the product: Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, Visual Studio Code, Goose or ChatGPT/Codex.
-
For Claude Desktop only: Node.js is installed (it provides the
npxcommand). See Claude Desktop needs Node.js. -
Your computer can reach the internet, for the Ytria documentation server at
https://mcp-docs.ytria.com.
Step 1 – Open the AI Settings panel
|
Product |
Where to find it |
|---|---|
|
sapio365 |
Main menu: AI Settings, just below Preferences. Or the home page: Settings > AI Settings. |
|
EZ Suite products |
Menu HELP > AI SETTINGS..., just below PROXY SETTINGS.... The panel opens in the AI Settings window. |
Step 2 – Start the server
Click Start server. The status changes to Running, and the address appears, for example http://localhost:33380/sapio365/ or http://localhost:33380/scanez/. The product remembers this choice: the server starts with the product from now on, until you stop it.
Step 3 – Apply the configuration
On the card of your AI client, click Apply config. The product writes the settings for that client, with no manual editing, and the status changes to Configured. Your client now has two servers:
-
the product's own server, named
mcp-followed by the product:mcp-sapio365,mcp-scanez,mcp-databaseezand so on; -
mcp-ytria-docs: the Ytria documentation server, online.
Repeat this step in each product you want your AI client to work with: every product has its own server, and a client can use several at once.
If something prevents it, a message titled <client> could not be configured says why, and the product opens its AI setup help in your browser. See Apply config shows an error, or set the client up yourself with Configure an AI client manually.
Step 4 – Restart or reload your AI client
Most clients read their configuration when they start.
|
Client |
What to do after Apply config |
|---|---|
|
Claude Code |
Start a new session. |
|
Claude Desktop |
Quit it completely (right-click its icon in the notification area, then Quit) and start it again. Settings > Developer lists the servers and their state. |
|
Cursor |
Restart Cursor, or open Cursor Settings, MCP section, and make sure both servers are turned on. |
|
Visual Studio Code |
Run MCP: List Servers from the Command Palette and start both servers if needed. Use Copilot Chat in Agent mode. |
|
Goose |
Restart Goose. If the extension does not appear, quit Goose, click Apply config again, then start Goose. |
|
ChatGPT/Codex |
Start a new Codex session. |
Step 5 – Check that it works
-
sapio365: ask “What does sapio365 have open right now?” The AI calls
sapio365_get_startedand describes your session and open modules. -
EZ Suite: ask, for example, “Which Notes ID and database is scanEZ using?” The AI calls
get_current_Notes_sessionandget_current_database.
Your client may ask you to allow each tool the first time. Allow the tools that read; for the tools that run automation scripts or change something, keep the approval prompt on so you see each action before it runs.
Next: see what you can ask in The sapio365 MCP server or The EZ Suite MCP servers, and choose what the AI may do in The AI Settings panel.
