The AI Settings panel is where you start the product's MCP server, connect your AI clients, and choose what the AI may do. sapio365 and the EZ Suite products share the same panel.

The panel is titled AI settings - Let your AI interact with <product> and has three parts: <product> MCP, AI clients and AI setup help.
<product> MCP
This part shows the server status: Running - ready for AI clients, or Stopped - AI clients cannot reach <product>.

Control |
What it does |
|---|---|
|
Start server / Stop server |
Starts or stops the server. The product remembers the choice the next time it starts. Starting the server needs a license with the AI (MCP) feature: without it, the product shows This feature is only available with an AI (MCP) license. and the server stays stopped. |
|
Copy address (icon, while running) |
Copies the server address, for example |
|
Edit port (icon, while running) |
Changes the port the server listens on. See Manage the MCP server. |
|
Forbid saving data with AI |
The AI can still edit data in the product, but not save it: a Save action in an automation script or a job run by AI ends in error and stops it. The changes stay pending, for you to review and save. |
|
Forbid reading data with AI |
The AI can still run automation scripts and jobs in the product, but not read the data: the content of grids is never sent to it. |
|
Forbid session load with AI (sapio365)
|
The AI can still work with the session already loaded in sapio365, or with the user ID already loaded in the EZ Suite product, but not load another one: an action that loads one, in an automation script or a job run by AI, ends in error and stops it. |
Each product keeps its own settings: the restrictions you set in scanEZ apply to scanEZ only. In sapio365, an administrator can impose any of the three restrictions through your sapio365 role: the box is then ticked and cannot be cleared, and its tooltip says that only an administrator can change it. Once the role no longer imposes it, the box is unlocked but stays ticked until you clear it. What each restriction covers is detailed in Security, restrictions and your data.
AI clients
One configuration box per supported client: Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, Visual Studio Code, Goose and ChatGPT/Codex. Each box shows the client's status, the path of its configuration file, and its buttons.

While the server is stopped, the buttons are greyed out and the cards say Start the server to configure this client.

The copy icon on a card copies the path of the client's configuration file and, while the server is running, the settings that Apply config writes in it (tooltip Copy file path and config). See Configure an AI client manually.

The statuses are checked again every time you open the panel.
