Cache Update jobs are available from the Jobs panel in the sapio365 Dashboard.
This job refreshes your environment data, including users, groups, and sites, along with any extended data you have loaded (such as mailbox or storage information).
By scheduling a recurring Cache Update, sapio365 intelligently refreshes only the objects that have changed in Entra ID. This makes the process fast and efficient while keeping your data accurate.
A daily schedule is recommended for most environments, as it balances performance with up-to-date reporting. However, if you need near real-time accuracy (for example, in active environments or during migrations), you can run the job multiple times per day.
Setting up recurring cache refresh jobs for large tenants
For large environments, it is recommended to schedule separate jobs for Users, Groups, and Sites. This improves performance and makes it easier to see which area may need attention if a job runs longer than expected, since each job sends an email report that includes its run duration.
See our best practices example for building and maintaining your Users cache up to date.
Keeping the cache up to date ensures that reports, automation, and bulk operations always run against the latest available data without the delays or overhead of full data reloads.
Shared Cache
If you are sharing cached data with other sapio365 users, scheduling a recurring Cache Update job ensures that everyone is always working with the most up-to-date data.
There are 4 versions of the job to accommodate your needs and query volumes.
